- A quick getaway on the weekend of January 15th through Monday January 18th – in the United States, there is a federal holiday on Monday, the 18th (Martin Luther King’s birthday).
- A romantic escape for Valentine’s Day from February 12th through Monday, February 15th – (Monday is ANOTHER Federal holiday in the US – Washington’s Birthday). And there’s more – February 14th is the celebration of the Chinese New Year with a parade in Belize City. Then there is fun and revelry in San Pedro up through Ash Wednesday, February 17th in preparation for the Christian Lenten period.
- An adrenaline rush with La Ruta Maya Canoe Race (a 4 day Canoe race from Belize’s western border to the coast) on the weekend of March 9th – Paddlers of all ages, and skill levels are welcome to race or if you prefer, follow the race from vantage points along the Western Highway or be in Belize City to welcome the winners. It’s a long weekend in Belize in honor of paraplegic English sailor, the Baron Victor Bliss who left Belize a small fortune many decades ago.
- A spring fling at Easter – the weekend of April 1st through the 5th – for picturesque street theater with the reenactment of the Passion of Christ in the western border town of Benque Viejo, to lighthearted celebrations on the beaches and islands. This is a 4 day holiday weekend in Belize!
And, if none of those dates suit your schedule, that’s ok too. Belize is just fine for any of the dates in between and, at anytime of the year. There is so much to see and do, you can find something for everyone and prices to suit all budgets.
