Belize Vacation Sweepstakes (Essay#60)

1 February 2010 No Comment

My family and I had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had on our 2009 trip to Belize. Our time spent at Chaa Creek was outstanding. The all- Belizean staff at the restaurant, the spa, ect., took superb care of all of our needs and requests. From the stables to the spa to our trip over the border into Guatemala to Mick Fleming having a blue morpho butterfly chrysalis brought to our villa for our kids to watch hatch, our family was treated to the best service we’ve ever experienced. Our trip to Tikal was a first for Chaa Creek, since Belizean tour guides were no longer allowed to give tours in Guatemala. We were the first group Chaa Creek sent to meet a Guatemalan tour company they had just started working with. It turned out to be a wonderful tour and we all learned a lot. We had nothing but great things to say to Chaa Creek’s concierge when we returned that night.

The food served at the restaurant was always delicious and the kitchen and wait staff were always friendly and accommodating to our group of nine. Chaa Creek was the perfect vacation destination; five star accommodations and services in a beautiful, remote setting, while at the same time providing a laid- back casual environment that was welcoming and comfortable to our children. My wife and I agreed (a rarity, I might add) that this was by far, our favorite vacation to date. We’ve told everyone we know, that’s expressed interest in going to Belize, about our time at Chaa Creek. We look forward to our next visit to Belize and can’t imagine not spending time at Chaa Creek while we’re there.
