Caye Caulker, an Untouched Island Escape

Caye Caulker, a small limestone coral island off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean Sea has been listed in the top ten untouched islands by Frommers.com.

Frommer’s is a travel guidebook series and one of the bestselling travel guides in America.

For anyone who’s ever had the urge to flee the rat race and parachute onto a tropical island with velvety air and a breezy, barefoot lifestyle, Caye Caulker would likely fit the bill. It’s the kind of laid-back, sun-saturated spot that’s as inoculated to the rat race as a civilized place can be.”

Frommer’s has expanded to include over 350 guidebooks across 14 series, as well as other media including the award winning Frommers.com website which covers over 3,500 destinations.

Caye Caulker is located one mile west of Belize’s Barrier Reef and is a four mile long island which is part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef.

This small island has a relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets, golf carts for transportation and casual dress with no shoes.
