Belize Stag Weekends for an Unforgettable Experience

Count on Belize to carry on the tradition of unforgettable stag weekends for grooms to be. The concept of men celebrating their last moments of being single has existed since the beginning of time.

Time Magazine reports that ancient Spartans threw a dinner for men the night before they were married. Celebrations included lots of food and wine. Wedding publications indicate the event allows a groom to decompress before the ceremony and reaffirm male relationships. No one is clear on when bachelor parties became raucous, but an 1896 event hosted by a grandson of circus tycoon P.T. Barnum was raided by police after reports of scantily clad dancers.

The warm, tropical country of Belize offers plenty of activities to keep even the rowdiest bachelor parties entertained. Visitors come from around the world to enjoy scenic natural beauty and indulge in a variety of outdoor adventures. Bachelor parties benefit from the combination of beautiful people in a beautiful country.

Belize offers good, clean fun that keeps everyone in the good graces of their significant other. Here is a list of exciting opportunities that will keep bachelor party members talking for years to come.

Cave Tubing

Caves tell the history of Belize, having been an intricate part of the Maya religion and culture. The Maya used caves as ceremonial sites and evidence of these activities can be found for substantial distances inside these caves. Relics, principally in the form of shards of pottery, are very common.

Combine river cave tubing and cave exploration on this adventure where you explore spectacular crystal formations over 5,000,000 years old that cast eerie shadows into the black abyss as you explore and experience the most sacred area of the ancient Maya.

Bannister Island

Bannister Island has it all. The private island located approximately nine miles from Belize City offers sand, surf and lots of fun. Traditional activities include snorkeling and kayaking. Guests can also opt to vegetate under coconut trees.

Three bars keep the drinks flowing, but island staff are available to take orders for people who cannot tear themselves away from “people watching“. Considering stag weekends are all about living it up, rent out the entire island for maximum privacy. Showers allow beach bums to clean themselves up and prepare for an evening of dancing in the sand.

Diving/Snorkeling

Belize’s Great Barrier Reef is considered one of the seven underwater wonders of the world. Dive spots are plentiful and water temperatures remain at a comfortable 80 degrees Fahrenheit all year.

Almost all hotels can arrange dives or snorkeling for guests. Parties intent on spending a great deal of time in the water should consider booking accommodations at a dive resort that is located directly on the coastline.

Canoeing/ Kayaking

Canoes and kayaks offer groups another method of exploring Belize’s extensive cave system. The truly adventurous can use the opportunity to explore open waters for a truly unique perspective.

In addition to providing some scenic photos, athletic types get a chance to flex their muscles during some serious physical activity.

Windsurfing

Windsurfing provides the perfect opportunity for true showoffs to make new friends. An area known as The Cayes is the perfect setting for beginning to advanced surfers. Clear blue water provides an excellent backdrop for dolphins and stingrays. Waves in the outer reef area challenge even the most experienced surfers.

Zip Line Tour

Feel at one with nature on this exciting Belize Zip Line Canopy Tour Adventure.  Belize is World Famous for the lush Tropical Rainforest, Nature Diversity, Majestic Trees, outstanding Wildlife and biodiversity, this tour is by far one of the best method to view it all at a canopy level.
