As of today, the laws of Belize prohibits the importation and use of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO)of any kind in this country. The rule of law has been broken and continues to be broken in many areas in this country. This does not mean that it is fine to do what some of us are doing today as it relates to GMO’s. We need the discussion so that we are informed from both sides of this issue but until an informed and legal decision is made, people that brings GMO’s in Belize must be dealt with swiftly by means of our laws. This includes any person, company or Government agents. This issue must be very transparent!!!!
