I want to be a part of this reflection of time. It would be amazing to be in the heartland of the Maya during this time of completion of the great cycle of the 13th B’ak’tum and celebration of the new age. I love history. I have studied the Mayan culture, and find it to be captivating that they were able to predict events and tell a story of the future that many years ago.

For such a small, sparsely populated country, Belize has more things to do packed within its 8,867 square miles (22,960 km²) than anyplace I can think of, and I’m always the proverbial kid in a candy shop when I’m there – so many things to do, so little time. However, I do most emphatically recommend that you take time on any Belizean holiday to visit the Cayo District and San Ignacio Town – it all adds up to a tropical holiday experience you’ll never forget.

Actun Tunichil Muknal (Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre) is one of the most popular Maya ceremonial caves in Western Belize and has been featured in National Geographic Adventure Magazine. It was named after the sacrificial chamber within the cave where the remains of a young woman were found, the bones of which have been completely covered by calcite from drip water, leaving them with a sparkling appearance.
