My family is so excited about a new year’s resolution we just made that we want to share it around. At the dinner table the other day we were talking about the new year and what it had in store for us, and the discussion got around to New Year’s resolutions. As usual with my teen son and daughter, they began challenging each other to come up with the coolest, most do-able resolution for 2012, and without noticing, we parents were soon drawn into the contest.

Last year a couple friends of mine took my advice to get married in Belize and absolutely positively loved it, as you do. OK, I’m somewhat partial, having been married there myself, and now with other people asking, I thought I’d put down ten reasons why a Belize Wedding is my idea of nuptial nirvana.
Chaa Creek’s marketing administrator Larry Waight said that the eco resort has seen a rise in what it calls “romance adventure packages”, where couples opt to mix their celebrations with tropical adventures such as exploring Maya temples and archaeology sites, diving the Caribbean and Belize Barrier Reef, canoeing jungle rivers, horseback or mountain bike excursions and other activities.

You’ve been a fantastically successful pop star, sold over 40 million records, have your own TV show and claimed to have romanced thousands of women, and now you’re finally going to ask the one woman you’ve really loved to be your first wife. Where do you pop the Big Question? Why, Belize, of course. Gene Simmons could have picked any spot on the planet to ask Shannon Tweed, his long-time girlfriend and mother of his two children to finally tie the knot.

For the next two years, the Belize Tourism Board will be following the blueprint’s outline to balance growth of a vibrant tourism market with the need for conservation and sustainability of the nation’s precious resources. Working with partners including ecotourism consultant Megan Epler Wood, the Planeterra Foundation, of which Wood is executive director, and the tour company, Gap Adventures, a founding partner of the foundation, the board is hoping to successfully sell investors and tourists the very same treasured assets it is duty-bound to protect and conserve.

One interesting project we’ve recently heard about is Sea Base 1, a permanent underwater research station and habitat planned to be located in the Caribbean Sea just off Ambergris Caye. Said to be the first-of-its- kind underwater facility combining coral reef research, education and eco-tourism, Sea Base 1 would house up to 25 aquanauts to live and work over extended periods of time in a submerged environment. Sea Base 1 is a non-profit company established by the late Dr Richard Cooper, a former marine biology professor, veteran underwater researcher and explorer who stressed that such research is imperative because coral reefs are “considered to be the ocean equivalent of a canary in the coal mine.”
When I first heard that my friend was going to visit Belize, I thought that she was referring to a small and unknown local restaurant. I had never heard of this tiny country before, which is located in the heart of Central America. Due to a family emergency, my friend was unable to go on her journey as originally scheduled; however, she was smart enough to purchase travel insurance.
Belize has everything for a perfect vacation. It is a warm place where we can find Nature reserves and a magnificent barrier reef. As I am fond of outdoor activities I find the countryside more attractive than the city and I am eager to go in this amazing country with beautiful surroundings. I also plan to relax in the spa during this stay and eat healthy organic food. I would also like my family to join me if I win to make them aware of what is meant by paradise.
I live in Chicago, IL. At 6:30 am, my alarm sounds, I roll out of bed, check my email, check my voicemail, unload my dishwasher, squeeze on heels, fill my car with gas and prepare to battle my way through snow or construction to sit behind a desk, inside for most of my day. My job is interesting. My city is filled with fun places and new people. But somehow, between remembering online passwords for paying bills and sales data …
A few years ago, we visited the magic land of Belize and were enchanted by its beauty and diversity. Since we are divers, the main focus of our trip was Belize’s barrier reef, second only to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Belize Eco Kids Summer Camp Essay -5
I would love to be an eco kid because it is the best and most sensible way to live. When I consider how closely we human beings are connected to our environment, it seems wrong not protecting it. Everything in nature seems to depend on each other for its survival. All through primary school we were taught about food chains, and how animals and plants depend on each other. If we to destroy or …
