Several years ago a friend told me about her travels to Belize, and ever since I have wanted to visit the country for myself. The pure beauty of the countryside itself is reason enough to want to go, but the rainforest and waterfall excursions, the activities like canoeing and mountain biking, and the history of the region with the Mayan temples are even more reason I would love to go to Belize! I would also love to base my Belize vacation from The Lodge at Chaa Creek. I can’t imagine what would be better than staying in a cottage located in a nature reserve! I’m also extremely impressed by the tours and activities available at Chaa Creek, including the rainforest excursions, cave tours, butterfly farm, canoeing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Those are all in addition to what I believe is the major draw: the Mayan ruins. And after a full day of exploring, there’s a spa at Chaa Creek to return to and relax in! That right there is unbeatable! Despite all of these amazing features, the Lodge at Chaa Creek also remains very affordable. I’m currently finishing up my Ph.D. and am planning a vacation get-a-way as a treat to myself, and I look forward to spending my vacation get-a-way at the Lodge at Chaa Creek in Belize!
