I am 30 years old, and I’ve been exploring the natural world since before I could walk. My parents took me “swimming” in rivers as an infant and hiking through snowy woods as a toddler. As I got older and moved away from home, my time was focused on obtaining an education, and I spent too much time inside. Now that I have almost completed a long road to the start of my career, I have a lot more free time. I recently enjoyed a visit from my parents to my new home state of Arizona, and it was incredible to see their eyes light up as I showed them my favorite outdoor adventures. Like me, they had spent too much time away from nature.
I also had the pleasure of discovering Belize last year, and I would love to go back and share it with those most important to me.
I went to Belize alone last year when another trip with friends fell through. I couldn’t reschedule my time off, and I had always wanted to see Belize, so I decided to take my first solo trip ever. It was fantastic. Since I returned home, I’ve been telling everyone I know that they must go and see it. I stayed near Chaa Creek when I was in Belize, and I wished that I had booked a place there. I would love to take my parents and my brother there. Since I live across the country from my family, I only see them about once a year, and I actually haven’t seen my brother in three years because his own life has been so busy. A little family reunion in Belize would be perfect, and the timing couldn’t be better.
Why Chaa Creek when there are so many other places to stay? When I was in Belize, I learned that there is a very friendly culture among travelers, and I heard from many, many people that Chaa Creek is absolutely the best. Its location is the perfect jumping off point for the numerous adventures in Belize, and it’s the perfect comfort zone to return to after a day of adventuring. Why choose less than the best?
