Belize Honeymoon Sweepstakes Essay#25

Belize Honeymoon Sweepstakes

My fiancé and I would love to get married and have our honeymoon at Chaa Creek. We’ve been looking at the website for about 3 years now, always dreaming of the perfect, eco-friendly, rainforest wedding. We intend to get the Butterfly package with a rainforest setting for our ceremony, and spend a week or so relaxing and exploring the rainforest as part of a perfect honeymoon. We’ve imagined every detail, poured over the map of the lodge, accommodations, and activities available. Everything is planned (except for how two recent grads and current teachers, can afford the wedding of their dreams!). That’s why we were so excited to find this contest!

Chaa Creek is the perfect setting because there’s something for all the different personality types represented in our family and friends. For the older, more refined tastes there are luxury accommodations and an amazing infinity swimming pool. For my more pampered friends and cousins, there is a spa complete with massages, facials, and chocolate treatments- (what’s not to love!?). I also have a group of outdoorsy, hippie, bargain hunting friends from school who would love to take advantage of Camp Casitas. This option means even our friends who’ve just finished college, will be able to afford attending our wedding.

Another aspect I’m excited about is the accommodations that allow for whole extended families to stay together. We’ve actually already figured out which rooms we think our key guests would most enjoy! We, of course, will be staying in the Tree Top Suits. I can’t imagine a more perfect honeymoon suite for 2 eco-friendly, adventure-seeking, wildlife lovers!

Perhaps my favorite part of having our wedding/ honeymoon at Chaa Creek, is the variety of activities for the whole family. My fiance’s family is from CA and mind is from MA, so they’ve never even met! Both of us come from big families that value spending time together. We envision our wedding as weeklong event where our families can bond while canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and exploring. There’s wildlife watching for our outdoorsy friends and even a natural history museum for my niece and nephew. Chaa Creek is the absolutely ideal place to be married out in nature, surrounded by happy loved ones.
