A trip to Belize with a stay at the The Lodge at Chaa creek would be a dream vacation for my wife and I. We are seriously involved in bird education and rescue and going to Belize would give us an opportunity to see parrots and other birds in their natural habitat. Staying at one of the most highly regarded and awarded Belizean eco resorts would be a dream come true. We have researched such vacations extensively and so far have been unable to afford one, although we have a plan in place to pay off our debt and take such a vacation in a few years.
Staying at a jungle resort would allow us to fall asleep each night and wake up every morning to the sounds of the jungle and wildlife all around us. I couldn’t image a better vacation than staying at such a well appointed resort situated squarely in the middle of pure nature. One of my passions has always been archaeology and visiting Maya ruins and ceremonial caves would be one of the highlights of the trip for me.
A few years ago I would have been happy to “rough it” and visit Belize with little more than a backpack and a camera, but now that I’m in my forties I prefer an eco vacation with a few more amenities than will fit into a backpack, and The Lodge at Chaa creek knows how to pamper their guests with fine dining, spas, and creature comforts befitting of any luxury resort. Until I can get there all I can do is wish for it to come true and dream of the day when I can actually get to go. I would love to go with my digital camera and take thousands of photographs and short videos of a dream vacation I will remember for the rest of my life.
