An emerging trend in family adventure vacations and a recent increase in enquiries about Mother’s Day holidays present new opportunities for nature based travel destinations, according to the marketing administrator of a popular Belizean eco resort.
Larry Waight said that The Lodge at Chaa Creek’s “Ultimate Mother’s Day” vacation package was designed in response to a growing number of enquiries from people looking to create an extraordinary Mother’s Day experience.
And, with the added enticement of a 15 % discount off the entire all-inclusive Belize vacation package for bookings made before March 30, 2013, he expects that more families may be celebrating Mother’s Day in Belize this year.
“Over the years we’ve seen an increase in bookings for Belize family vacation packages to celebrate birthdays, wedding anniversaries, graduations and other significant events. A few years ago one family asked if Mother’s Day was celebrated in Belize, and if we could do something special for their mother.
“The answer to both questions was yes, so they came down, and said it was one of the greatest holidays they ever had. Mum was ecstatic, and the entire family had a wonderful time together. They said they wanted to do something extra special for mom that year and had also been looking for an opportunity to get together and share something special.
“We decided that it was such a great idea that this year we’re offering “The Ultimate Mother’s Day” all-inclusive Belize vacation package as a way for families to express their love and appreciation for that special person while sharing an adventure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives,” Mr Waight said, “And with a 15 % discount off the entire package, it’s actually very affordable.”
Mr Waight said the Mother’s day special was similar to Chaa Creek’s popular Family Adventure all-inclusive Belize Vacation Package, but with a special emphasis on mothers. “On top of our usual range of offerings, we’ll be pulling out all stops to make this a truly special time for mothers,” he said.
Mother’s Day in Belize is traditionally celebrated every second Sunday much as it is in the US and Canada, with cards, flowers and often a break from cooking and cleaning. Mr Waight said that Chaa Creek’s Ultimate Mother Day package will allow families to do as much or as little as they like for one set cost and no hidden expenses.
“With our all-inclusive Belize vacation packages, everything is taken care of from the moment you land until you’re back at Belize’s international airport. All accommodation, meals, tours and activities, transfers, staff gratuities and taxes; the lot. And in our private 365 acre rainforest nature reserve, with a fine restaurant, lounge, Butterfly Farm, professional Hilltop Spa, pool, horses, canoes and much more, mothers and the entire family will have the time of their lives,” he said.
Families not wishing to take advantage of the entire all-inclusive package can still enjoy a 15 % discount off allChaa Creek accommodation for the month of May, Mr Waight said.
“We want to be flexible to allow as many mothers as possible the chance to enjoy a Belizean adventure this Mother’s Day,” he said, “When you consider how much our mothers mean to us, it seems the least we can do,” he said.
