What to do In Belize: All Year-round Itinerary

Getting to Belize has gotten easier. The Belize Tourism Board has secured flights landing in Belize’s Philip Goldson International Airport all year round. No need to worry if you’re planning to visit in January with your family to celebrate New Year’s. We recommend visiting Maya archeological temples such as Xunantunich, Caracol, and Cahal Pech.

If you’re visiting in February, the month of love we recommend booking a Mayan Chocolate-Making Class in San Ignacio with Ajaw Chocolate. March, April, and May call for all things water activities. Explore Caves Branch and Barton Creek, or head to the beach. June, July, and August will welcome you to bond with the Belizean community. The country partners with international organizations for summer projects such as painting schools, restoring libraries, and even holding Summer Camps

The last four months of the year, September, October, November, and December, are filled with seasonal celebrations. Belize observes its Independence Day in September, which means red, white, and blue adorn the streets of its six districts; October is reserved for tradition. The Maya Mestizo community observes Los Finados, where they fondly remember loved ones by preparing elaborate altars. November sheds its days with the rhythm of the Garifuna drums while December flies by with merry and cheer.

So, trust us when we say that Belize has much to offer all year round; we mean it!
