I want to be an Eco-Kid because, for the future, I want to see Belize as a clean and healthy country. I want to try to help restore and keep Belize’s natural beauty. Then Belize can bring in more tourists and help the Government get more money so they can fix the roads and help people in need.
I dream of going to Eco-Kids camp because camping, fishing and horseback riding are some of my favourite things to do. To wake up by the Macal River would be awesome. I would love to see my favorite animal in all of Belize in its natural habitat: the Tapir, our National Animal also known as the Mountain Cow.
Canoeing down a river is a fun and exciting adventure. I have done it before, and would like to do it again and again and again! It’s the best way to see Belize’s wildlife.I also want to know how to do organic farming so I can grow tomatoes, corn and other crops and even learn how to control bugs with bugs!
This year is the “New Beginning” for the Maya. I love to climb Maya temples and see the jungle from a new dimension. Imagine if I found an Ancient Maya spear head, clay pot or jade artifact? There is so little that is known about the Ancient Maya it would be amazing to find cool stuff to show the world and tell their story.
I want to be an Eco-Kid because I love the environment and I want to learn more about what I can do to help others appreciate it. I want to learn more about my country, so together we can preserve and protect it.
Most of all, I want to make new friends and do fun things with other Eco-Kids like me.
