All Inclusive Holidays for Grandparents, the “Unsung Heroes”
Belizean eco resort The Lodge at Chaa Creek has just launched a new all-inclusive vacation package specifically aimed at grandparents and the Baby Boomer generation:
Calling grandparents the “unsung heroes” of the family unit, Chaa Creek’s marketing administrator, Roberto Harrison, said the new “Summer of Love” Belize vacation package offers a complete Belize experience by combining an inland jungle adventure with a Caribbean beach holiday for one affordable set price.
“We have all-inclusive Belize vacation packages aimed at specific interests, such as honeymoons, adventure romance, family, Maya culture and inland expedition, to name a few. We thought it was high time to offer something special to those unsung heroes of many families, the grandparents,” Mr Harrison said.
The “Belize Bathing suits and Hiking Boots’ all-inclusive vacation package is presented as a partnership between The Lodge at Chaa Creek and Chabil Mar Villas on Belize’s Placencia Peninsula, offering travellers a rare opportunity to split their holiday between Belize’s Maya temple-studded rainforests and the uncrowded Caribbean coast for one low set price, Mr Harrison said.
“The traditional picture of grandparents doesn’t really apply to members of the Baby Boomer generation who, in our experience, are still quite active and are looking for adventure while at the same time appreciating some luxury,” he said, “As a family run and family friendly eco resort we have the experience, infrastructure and network of colleagues to offer an experience no one else can, especially at this price,” he said.
The Grandparents package includes rainforest cottage and beachside accommodation, all meals, excursions and activities as well as all transfers, taxes and staff gratuities, allowing guests to enjoy a holiday without needing to plan or pay for each item of their vacation, Mr Harrison explained.
“As with all Chaa Creek all-inclusive Belize vacation packages, from the moment guests are picked up at Belize’s international airport until we drop them back off, everything is taken care of. Except for alcoholic and specialty beverages, there’s really nothing more to buy, and as an award winning green eco resort, our guests can sleep easy knowing that their environmental impact is minimal, with 10% of their accommodation fees going directly into environmental and social initiatives under the Chaa Creek Cares program,” he said.
The Chaa Creek portion of the Grandparents package includes rainforest cottage accommodation, full breakfast, daily lunch special or packed lunch, dinner, excursions to the Maya temples of Tikal and Xunantunich, the Maya Caves at Barton Creek, guided tours of the Natural History Centre and Hilltop Butterfly Farm, canoeing, nature-walks, and all ground transfers with a stop at the Belize Zoo.
For the Placencia beach portion of the package, Chabil Mar provides a welcome cocktail, accommodations in a Partial Seaview Luxury Villa, all meals, use of bicycles and kayaks, all sea sport equipment, two fresh water infinity pools, a full day of snorkelling, tour of the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve or Monkey River, and a local flight to Belize International Airport.
“All of our vacation packages have built-in flexibility so that guests can do as much or as little as they want. For example, if someone wants to include a professional massage or treatment at our Hilltop Spa, that can be arranged. We cater to any special needs and dietary requirements, so vegetarians also enjoy fine dining with fresh local produce and seafood,” he added.
Mr Harrison said that bookings are now being taken for the Grandparents Summer of Love packages, and added that Chaa Creek and Chabil Mar staff are ready to work with mature guests to ensure they have a perfect Belize holiday.
“This new vacation package is part of a long tradition of providing quality and customer satisfaction while offering value and something truly unique. For that part of the population that experienced the first moon landings, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the birth of digital media and so many other extraordinary events, we knew we had to come up with something special.
“I’m confident this is it,” Mr Harrison said.
