New Chicago-To-Belize Flights thanks to United Airlines!
Windy City to Belize City is a Breeze
Travel just keeps getting easier
We love reporting on new air services to Belize from other destinations, and especially from North America, where many of our visitors come from and where a large Belizean diaspora thrives. It’s always good news when both our guests and homesick friends and relatives can get to and from Belize more quickly and easily.
So we smiled upon hearing the news that beginning 20 December 2014, United Airlines will be adding weekly Saturday flights from Chicago to Belize City, bolstering its current service to Belize from Houston and Newark.
United will offer the new Chicago-to-Belize flights through to 15 August 2015, according to a recent post on ASIATravel tips.com.
As we reported earlier, Delta Airlines recently increased its Atlanta to Belize service from eight to 12 weekly flights, and also resumed weekly non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Belize this last November, giving travellers from the City of Angels an extra 160 seats per week.
And with increased service by various airlines from Atlanta and other destinations in recent times, as well as continually enhanced domestic service by local carrier Tropic Air – who make getting from Chaa Creek to Belize City and Ambergris Caye a breeze via the Maya Flats to Belize City and San Pedro runs – travel just keeps getting better.
This is just one of the reasons why the Belize Tourism Board’s figures show that tourist arrivals for 2014 continue to break records. Add it to great word of mouth, a growing sophisticated foodie culture, more activities and the usual wonderful weather and friendly people, and you see a recipe for success that’s hard to beat.
Happy travels everyone! We look forward to seeing down here soon!
Oh!…..and just a friendly reminder:
