Immaculate Conception RC School receives school supplies!
If you love the gift of giving, you will love Chaa Creek’s initiative of including our guests in giving back to the community.
Our Pack-a-Pound initiative gives guests an opportunity to donate school supplies to classrooms in Belize. The procedure to donate to this cause entails substituting one pound of luggage for one pound of school supplies or by sending school supplies to Chaa Creek via mail. Chaa Creek would gather school supplies, pack them off by pound and then distribute to the schools and students who need it most.
Program coordinator, Denise Duran along with Chaa Creek’s marketing officer Lea Itzab visited the Immaculate Conception R.C. School in the beautiful village of Bullet Tree Falls to deliver school supplies donated by our past guests.
Vice Principal Mrs. Maria Martinez and students thankfully received the donation which included, chalk, pens, pencils, crayons, water paint, rulers, and calculators among other much needed school supplies for the primary school.
We are very happy that Chaa Creek continues to attract people who care, and we invite you to join this initiative.
School supplies that can be brought in guests luggage or sent via mail include but are not limited to:
- Age-appropriate story books in English or Spanish
- Arts and crafts materials
- Pens and pencils
- Coloured construction paper
- Coloured pencils
- Maps
- Notebooks
- Calculators
- Chalk
- Used textbooks for teachers
- Watercolour paint and brushes
If you wish to donate to this cause kindly contact our program coordinator Denise Duran at [email protected] or call us directly to +501-834-4009. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated by teachers and students who receive these school supplies in Belize!
