The Christmas Spirit has settled upon us in tiny Belize, the Caribbean Sea has blown its cool Salty breeze our way, and in the jungle, the nights and mornings have been refreshing and chilly, to say the least.
The coconut trees by the Infinity pool are swaying to and from, the Howler Monkeys have settled by the banks of the Macal River, and all over our 400-acre nature reserve, the jungle bells have rung.
Santa is on his way not from the North Pole but from the Maya Mountains, steadily navigating the waterways until reaching the banks of the Macal River, with his canoe loaded with Belizean goodies for kids celebrating with us!
But before we welcome him, our team of hard-working elves stationed at Chaa Creek have ensured that the property is Santa-approved.
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow!
Tis the season to sparkle, and what better way to convey the warmth of the season than with twinkling golden lights that shine brighter when the sun sets and the moon rises?
Wander around our eco-lodge and find pleasant surprises in each corner. Our front desk overlooks daily operations, our bar is lively with music, and the walkways have all been touched by the holiday cheer.
Something near and dear, oh Christmas Tree!
Did you know our Christmas Tree is made of bejucos or vines? Much like the ancient Maya, we have made use of our surroundings. Our Christmas Tree now is a gentle nod to our commitment to sustainability and an outstanding display of Belizean talent.
By day, its bright red, golden, and green ornaments compliment the hidden Summer Tanager birds perched on its branches. Oh, what a sight!
By night, the tree comes to life with a brilliant golden glow produced by hundreds of Christmas lights wrapped around the tree, topped off with a crown of ribbons. Witness this marvelous sight as you dine in our Mariposa Restaurant all month long.
Christmas in the Tropics:
While our property glitters and shines, the blooming flowers, soft sun rays, and lush greenery keep our seasonal cheer alive.
Belize offers vacation options relatively close to home for those visiting from North America. They can take advantage of JetBlue’s new flight from New York and Southwest’s Houston, Denver & Baltimore/Washington routes. We love a green Christmas!
