Nestled in the heart of the jungle, the lodge offered the perfect combination of tranquility and adventure given their unique location/ proximity to major attractions. The staff were incredibly and uniquely welcoming and knowledgeable from our initial contact to departure. Lydia helped us arrange initial logistics and some tours. Our room was comfortable, well-maintained, and had a special view of this fig tree that was always packed with Toucans and other special bird as well as visits from the howler monkeys. The bar has an incredible selection of locally themed infused rum, vodka and tequila as well as usual brands and they mix great cocktails. We had every meal at the lodge, and it never disappointed or got boring since they change the menu/ theme every night. They operate their own tours and every tour we joined equally impressed us particularly the ATM cave tour with knowledgeable guide, Alexie, that made the experience a once in a lifetime and safe experience. We took advantage of proximity to the Guatemala border and visited Tikal but opted for a private tour given the all-day tour and mixed lodge clientele age/ range. We were debating about the fact our room wouldn’t have air conditioning, but it was not a problem at all as the climate was very mild and they have so many fans in the room that in fact we sometime had to turn off. It is very safe, and you see and hear wildlife all day and night but if you’re a light sleeper like me, you may want to pack your ear plugs for when monkeys go too crazy or the family staying at the next lodge enjoy their time and are too loud because you can hear them. It truly felt like an oasis, and we can’t wait to return!”

Our little cottage was cozy and clean with beautiful views of lush garden and tons of exotic birds. Chaa creek also offers many onsite activities such as horseback, canoeing and guided hikes. Service was impeccable. From the servers to the concierge, everyone made sure we had what we needed for a great stay. We would definitely recommend this place and are even contemplating going back with our family.”
