Meet BermudAir! Below are what Belize travelers should know about Belize’s newest airline connection.

There are few places where you can paddle a jungle river in the morning, stand atop an ancient Maya temple by afternoon, and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest at night. Belize has long rewarded curious travelers with experiences that feel both adventurous and restorative.

Getting here is now becoming even easier.

This winter, BermudAir will introduce new nonstop service from five U.S. cities, giving travelers convenient new access to one of Central America’s most remarkable destinations. Why These New Flights Matter

Convenient flights often shape where people choose to travel. With additional nonstop options, visiting Belize becomes simpler for first-time visitors and even easier for returning guests.

Fewer connections mean less time navigating airports and more time exploring Belize’s extraordinary diversity from the Caribbean Sea and the Belize Barrier Reef to mountain forests, wildlife reserves, and ancient Maya cities tucked beneath the rainforest canopy.

Did you know?

Belize is home to the world’s second-largest barrier reef, hundreds of Maya archaeological sites, over 600 species of birds, and vast protected rainforests all within a country smaller than the state of Massachusetts.

It’s one of the few destinations where visitors can combine reef, rainforest, wildlife, culture, and history in a single journey.

Beyond the Airport: The Journey Into the Rainforest

Within a short drive of the Philip Goldson International Airport, Belize begins to reveal its many sides.

The George Price highway (named after Belize’s first Prime Minister) heading west winds through villages, citrus orchards, rolling farmland, and river valleys before reaching the Cayo District a region celebrated for its archaeological treasures, protected forests, and outdoor adventures.

Here, the pace slows.

Imagine paddling along the Macal River beneath towering trees as kingfishers dart across the water, hiking rainforest trails alive with birdsong, or climbing the ancient temples of Caracol and Xunantunich, where sweeping jungle views stretch to the horizon. Stop in nearby San Ignacio to browse the bustling market, sample fresh Belizean cuisine, or chat with local artisans before continuing your journey into the rainforest.

Tucked in along the banks of the Macal River, The Lodge at Chaa Creek offers an ideal base for discovering this side of Belize. From here, guests can explore caves, visit Maya sites, enjoy guided nature walks, or simply relax beneath the shade of the rainforest canopy.

For many travelers, western Belize becomes the memory they talk about long after returning home.

Traveler’s Tip

If it’s your first visit to Belize, consider splitting your stay between the rainforest and the coast. Spending a few days inland before heading to the Caribbean allows you to experience the country’s remarkable diversity from ancient Maya history and jungle adventures to world-class snorkeling and island relaxation.
