Best Belize Hotels To Suit Every Accommodation Budget
It’s easy to look up a certain town or package and say “cool, this looks like exactly what I want to do” but sometimes looking at a country as a whole makes it pretty difficult to discern what’s what. While we can’t dictate to you where to go in Belize (Cayo is a pretty safe bet for a good time!) we can tell you the best Belize Hotels to stay wherever you plan to go to fit almost any budget.
Here is our list of the best Belize Hotels to stay at:
Hotels In Northern Belize
Corozal and Orange Walk – the center for Belize’s sugar and rum production (among other things of course). Home of ASR, L&R, A&R (They seem to like their ‘r’s) and the capital of Belize’s taco food craze sits at the north and connect the rest of us to Mexico. If you visited Belize and didn’t party until sunrise in Orange Walk then you missed out on a part of authentic Belizean culture. That said The north has its own range of interesting accommodations to host you while you get your tacos fix.
High Budget Hotels in Northern Belize
De La Fuente Hotel – Orange Walk
The Hotel De La Fuente is nestled right out of the center of orange walk town, a two-minute walk from the central park and town hall. This quaint hotel has a homey yet modern vibe that extends from its rooms to the comfy reading lounge in the front and breakfast cafe right next to that. While this hotel isn’t what would traditionally be “high” budget, it is on the higher end of the spectrum for Orange Walk.
El Gran Mestizo – Orange Walk
A parallel to the De La Fuente, El Gran Mestizo hotel is the sister property that sits along the meandering new river that makes its way past the side of town. Equipped with condo/apartment styled accommodations and a restaurant just a few feet away, El Gran mestizo is a great place to put your feet up and disconnect while enjoying some great northern Belize cuisine.
Mid Budget Hotels in Northern Belize
Las palmas – Corozal
Las palmas hotel in Corozal (the northernmost district) is a tall edifice that peers out of the relaxingly teal Corozal Bay. The most immediately perceptible perks of this place? The gorgeous sunrise views over the bay and the refreshing salt water air that rolls its way in from further out. Corozal is a sleepy little town with a few, little known, choice spots to take a dip and grab a bite to eat. It’s proximity to Chetumal, Mexico, make it a great rest stop for travelers who find themselves on this route when dark is beginning to approach.
Lamanai Landing – Orange Walk
Looking back to the Orange walk area in the middle category is Lamanai Landings hotel. Situated beside a small lagoon that feeds off the river, Lamanai landing and its adjoined restaurant is a great place to stop for the night if you’re on a long-haul or if you intend to make your way to or coming back late from the Mayan ruin that is up the river. The restaurant at Lamanai landing serves up some awesome Belizean food and the bar specials and drinks will keep you entertained in the otherwise quiet surroundings of the highway village that surrounds it.
Low Budget Hotels in Northern Belize
St Christopher hotel – Orange Walk
We must start out by saying that being in the “low budget” category should for no reason muddle what you expect from an establishment. The St Christopher is priced at between $35 and $70usd making it a desirable stop for a traveler on a budget. The accommodations include coffee and tropical fruits in the morning, and free wifi so you can stay connected during your stay and even a pay phone for when the situation calls for it. Their information desk is informative and is equipped to offer you tours to nearby Lamanai as well.
Belize Island Hotels
The islands of Belize are Hype central; even if what gets you hyped up is pretty chill. We say that because whatever your draw is, be it a party, relaxation, adventure, or a complete disconnect from the world we have an island to suit your tastes. You can hit up San Pedro for a party, Caye caulker for a chill weekend or somewhere remote like South Water Caye to be completely surrounded by the sea and nature – the choice really is yours.

O restaurant combines Caribbean tastes with international flavors for exquisite fusions of cuisine that will dazzle any taste buds. If your aim is to take it easy and melt all your stress away then take a walk over to their 70ft (yes that is feet…) infinity pool for a dip – but not before you book a spa treatment with Cindy (the Spa Manager) for later that day.

Located on Ambergris Caye, south of the town of San Pedro is Victoria House Resort. Being located on the party island does nothing to dampen the calm energy and relaxing pace of being surrounded by this quaint, colonial style resort and spa. Mid Budget Island Hotels
Weezie’s Ocean Front Hotel and Garden Cottages
Weezie’s Ocean Front Hotel is located in the birthplace of “Go Slow” in Belize. Caye caulker is a sleepy little fishing village/island where some people still live the same way they have since before our Independence from England. Weezie’s has a laid back charm – the kind that is prevalent on the island but nowhere to be found in their careful attention to detail. Their sea-front location and pier wit ha thatch-roofed palapa at the end make getting a tan or taking a dip labor-less.
Holiday Hotel
Yet another beach front entry – because really and truly what is the point of staying on a Caribbean island if you can’t wake up and stroll right onto the beach? Holiday Hotel is situated right in the middle of San Pedro town and is host to many a party throughout the year. Staying here is for anyone who likes to be near the heart of the action all the time. The San Pedrano hotel is likely the first hotel you’ll see after getting off a San Pedro Belize express boat. An unassuming little hotel set atop a grocery store that provides amazing value for their accommodations. The rooms are clean and come with air conditioning, private baths, and television to soak up whatever downtime you might have between your activities. The grocery store downstairs will stick you up with whatever miscellaneous items you might have forgotten while packing and the downtown location puts you front and center for all that San Pedro has to offer.
