We want to thank all the creative writers who participated in Chaa Creek’s 2023 Blogging Contest. We received more than 15 wonderfully written pieces that reflected the beauty of Belize, its green Nature, and the importance of leading the world in responsible tourism.

Blog essay entries recounted the importance of responsible stewardship along with the enrichment of community and cultural engagement as a sustainable way of life. They also reported on the many responsible adventures Belize offers.

Venturing into the jungle and diving into the Caribbean’s turquoise waters were described with beautiful poetic renderings. Authentic love for our country was the overall theme inscribed throughout by Belize’s creative scribes.

If you’ve had the chance to visit and explore Belize already, we hope these descriptive essays bring back some truly cherished memories of your time amongst our wildest attributes.

And if you haven’t made it to Belize, we hope the contest introduced you to Belize’s Nature of Being Green.

Mrs. Lucy Fleming, Chaa Creek’s co-founder, said that she enjoyed reading the creative blogs entries and hopes to potentially work with these adept writers soon. Given the success of this year’s “Belize ~ it’s our Nature to be Green” blogging contest, Chaa Creek followers can look forward to more competitions in the future.

We want them to feel that writing for our country has great potential and allows creative scribes to be influential Ambassadors of Belize. We can proudly say that we sought out and found many talented Belizean writers!”
