Even though summer is officially more than six weeks away, The Lodge at Chaa Creek is already preparing for another Summer of Love program after last year’s success, the Belizean eco resort’s marketing administrator Larry Waight said today.
“Last year was our first real Summer of Love, and since we enjoyed it almost as much as our guests, we decided to do a repeat. It’s always great to see people take a break and become closer,” he said.
Mr Waight explained that the Summer of Love program was Chaa Creek’s way to encourage more people to spend more time with their loved ones this summer with a range of affordable initiatives.
Mr Waight also stressed that love was not just aimed at young amorous couples.
“We’re talking about rekindling that loving feeling for everyone – couples, families, young, mature, even groups of friends who want to share an exciting adventure together and grow a bit closer in the process,” Mr Waight said, “That’s what the Summer of Love is all about.
To encourage people to spend more quality time together, Chaa Creek is offering discounts on rooms and packages and other incentives starting from now until July 31st.
Mr Waight said Chaa Creek is now offering a 20% discount on bookings for all rooms and 10% off selected packages from now until July 31 2012.
Selected Belize affordable all-inclusive vacation packages, including the Chaa Creek Expedition package, the Honeymoon Vacation package and the Family Adventure package, attract a 10% discount until 31 May as well as for the entire month of July.
“We chose packages that bring people together. Our Honeymoon package is an obvious choice, but the Family Adventure package and Chaa Creek Expedition were also picked for the summer of love because we’ve seen what happens to people when they share an exciting holiday in Belize together. The experience of discovering so many things together, whether exploring ancient Maya temples, nature walks along jungle trails, canoeing the Macal River together, or just spending quality time away from the television and modern distractions brings people together in a profound way.
“Last year I watched an elderly couple enjoy the Chaa Creek Expedition package, and by the end of it they were like teenagers again – you could tell the experience rekindled something special,” he said.
The Lodge at Chaa Creek is situated within a private 365 acre rainforest reserve with over 70 Maya archaeological sites and temples. The eco resort also boasts the renowned Natural History Centre, Butterfly Farm, professional Hilltop Spa, conference centre, pool, stables, canoes and miles of well-maintained jungle trails for hiking, bushwalking, horseback and mountain bike riding and a wide range of activities.
“We’re telling people when they book to mention that they’re here for the Summer of Love and we’ll make sure the staff knows to provide that extra touch and a few surprise treats we’re giving our summertime lovers,” Mr Waight said.
