I want to visit the Lodge at Chaa Creek in Belize, Central America because my past trips here have been some of the best experiences of my life.  This is a true 5-star resort.  There is incredible attention to detail in every room and public space.  I particularly love the outdoor shower at our cottage.  I have been to Chaa Creek twice now.  

The first time I arrived, walking through the entry gates and onto the grounds, I felt like I had come home.  A deep peace came over me.  There is such beauty in the jungle.  Now, as I sit at work, I often play the Sounds of Belize from the web link on the Chaa Creek website.  The nature sounds combined with the music is very relaxing as I do my work, and it brings me back to the jungle in my mind.  I found that the food was wonderful at Chaa Creek Lodge, and the staff all so friendly.  On my second trip, some of the staff even remembered me, which I found amazing. 

The highlight of my last stay was being awakened by the howler monkeys at night; what an experience!  Their voices are so primal.  Another highlight was the night hike.  I loved seeing where the insects & spiders live; this actually helped me feel more comfortable living among them for a week.  Horseback riding allowed me to see more of the land, including the abundant gardens.  I love that so much of the food served at the Chaa Creek Lodge restaurant is grown right on site; this is important to me.  Chaa Creek is calling me back again; I hope to be able to return very soon to this magical place.
