Belize is our choice for Holiday Vacation 2010
Why I want to vacation at the Lodge at Chaa Creek, Belize
My son and his wife live in Pennsylvania. I live in Washington State, so our time together is limited and precious. We’ve started a new family tradition: every other Christmas, we meet in a different warm, sunny, exotic location and spend our time relaxing, enjoying one another’s company, and experiencing new, exciting adventures.
Belize is our choice for Holiday Vacation 2010. We just purchased our plane tickets. Now starts the first round of vacation enjoyment – deciding which of the many amazingly beautiful and fascinating places we should visit! All three of us agree that Cockscomb Basin, the Belize Zoo, Community Baboon Sanctuary, ATM Cave, Xunantunich, and Lamanai by boat are must-see places. Relaxing on a caye or sandy beach, some strenuous hiking, bird and leafcutter ant watching, entering Xibalba. … so many sights to see in the brief time we’ll spend in a place of diverse cultures, natural wonders and ancient ruins. We can explore caves, chocolate plantations, hot sauce factories, Garifuna and Mayan villages. We could learn to play drums, look for manatees, chill in the shade.
When we’ve narrowed our choices to a do-able number of activities, we’ll need a central relaxation station to recharge at the end of the day, someplace peaceful and tranquil, but convenient to the next day’s action. We’ll want delicious, expertly prepared meals to keep us fueled for our adventures. A balance of relaxation and excitement is essential to a perfect vacation – An experienced tour planner could help us arrange an exciting array of activities without leaving us exhausted by the end of our trip.
I believe that the Lodge at Chaa Creek could provide us with the ideal place to relax, refuel, and recharge in between the wide array of unique experiences that they offer. Chaa Creek is an eco-friendly lodge that supports my vision of Belize as an unspoiled, natural environment in which many activities can be enjoyed without adversely affecting that environment in the process. The Lodge provides guests with a beautiful setting in which to relax and enjoy one another, a wide array of exciting activities to entertain all ages, and delicious, healthful food to nourish and satisfy. What more could we ask?
