Where in the world is Belize? Is it a safe place to go to? Who go to Belize in the first place? Belize is on the Caribbean coast of Central America, between Mexico and Guatemala and is easily accessible by air. It is about 4 ½ hours non stop from Newark, NJ to Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City. It was my experience that Belize was a safe place to visit. Never once did I feel uncomfortable visiting any of the villages that were not at the resorts. The Belizean people openly welcome tourists and not once was I approached by any beggars. The Belizean people are a proud and friendly people who speak English but will teach you Creole if you want to learn.
The essence of this article ideals with the question, “Why go to Belize in the first place?” Belize a place of non-stop adventure and environmental excellence. For those travelers who are attracted to the beach there is the Belize Barrier Reef which is the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. It’s rugged, mountain-like range of spectacular walls, coral canyons make this a haven for scuba divers and snorkelers. Stretching for 180 miles, it’s second in the work only to Australia’s.
